Drop by for a cold brew and some great pub food! The SHAKE & SHINGLE is located just north of the Lougheed Highway #7, on 287th St., Ruskin, British Columbia, about 1.5 hours by car east of Vancouver. This commercial building was designed and built by Artisan in 1997. The centre tower is reminiscent of turn-of-the-century North American forts. Large glass panels allow great natural light into the centre of the building.

Whistler, B.C. Canada.

Again, expansive windows maximize views of Whistler Mountain and beyond. The front prow of this ski chalet is of round log post and beam construction.

Log posts form a prow allowing for maximum glass, to bring in the full splendour of a mountain view.

Halfmoon Bay, Sechelt, B.C. Canada.

This week-end retreat was designed and built by Artisan in 1992. Overlooking the ocean, the post and beam bay extension takes full advantage of a fantastic view. We chose to visually connect the lower (conventionally framed) level with the upper log structure, through the use of massive log posts across the front of the house.

Gulf Islands, B.C. Canada

This private residence was built on ocean front acreage, with views to 180 degrees, so design was critical in capturing the amazing vistas from almost every room. Artisan provided full design and drafting services and acted as Project Manager, over-seeing the construction from foundation to finish.
